| Want to know more about the same-sex couples who were married in San Francisco? The press labeled it "civil disobedience". We call it the fight for the right to be "Spouses for Life"! We are in the initial phases of putting together a book called "Spouses for Life". We need couples to tell us their stories and help us document the historic event of the first same-sex marriages. If you would like to participate in the book, please contact us. | "Spouses for Life" "An intimate portrayal of same-sex couples married in San Francisco" The book "Spouses for Life" will showcase the stories and faces of the gay couples behind the civil disobedience of gay marriages in San Francisco. Through photos and personal stories, you will learn about the couples who were legally married in San Francisco in February 2004. In their own words, these couples tell about their relationships, their journey to getting their marriage license and the reason they took a stand for the right to marry their same-sex partners. We put faces to their stories, show moments from their ceremonies, and also include photos of other same-sex couples that were married during this historic occasion. To showcase gay couples who are in loving, committed relationship. To support the gay community's movement for equality. To defend the rights for same-sex marriage. To document the first gay marriages |
