Day 2: SF Giants Baseball Game
After our walk through the gardens, it was time to head to the ballgame. Melody did a lot of research to find us just the right seats, where they were easy for Mom to get to, and no one was in front or behind us. We had a clear view of the field and the bay, which turned out to be a good thing because the game wasn't all that good for the Giants. They lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks!

We are all decked out to cheer on the Giants! Mom even had her cheering hat on! Of course, it didn't help the Giants any, but we had a good time anyway!
This is the view from our seats. Isn't it great? No one was in front of us to block our view and no one was behind us, kicking our seats! The sun even cooperated and stayed out for most of the game!

Karen and Melody having fun at the game. Notice the jacket on Karen. It started to get a little cool. That bay breeze can get mightly chilly at times. Even in June! You can see the bay in the background.
Karen and Mom contemplate strategy hoping to help the Giants win the game.

Our view of the scoreboard and the bay beyond. I told you our seats were just amazing. We watched ships float by when the game was too painful to watch!
The giant Coke bottle is actually a slide. You go in at the top and come out at the bottom under the platform. The line was long the whole game for that slide. It must be lots of fun!

A close-up view of the Arizona Diamondbacks on the field as the Giants are batting. I guess they were preparing for a bunt!
One of the Giants getting ready to hit the ball out of the park!! Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?

The Bay Bridge. We took this bridge over the bay from Berkeley to the ballpark in San Francisco. This picture was taken from the concourse behind our seats.
There was a good crowd for this afternoon game. Everyone in the bay area knows that you have to go to an afternoon game if you don't want to bundle up.

Okay, I guess that even the afternoon games need a bit of bundling. I told Mom to bring a jacket with her. Did she listen to me...NO! She only brought that light sweater she has on. We had to give her a blanket to keep her from becoming a popsicle!
The lights begin to come on as the afternoon turns into evening and the fog begins to roll in.
