Description of Submission: "Memoir of emotional & physical transition from female to male from first realization (age 2) through SRS." - Nickolas

Biography: Writer, Speaker, Educator, Transman and Trans-advocate.  Nickolas McDaniel is an FTM who is an active participant in the Trans Movement.  An eloquent speaker and compelling writer, Nick has appeared in documentaries and publications regarding transsexualism.  Over the past five years he has spoken to numerous audiences in an educational capacity on such topics as transsexualism and male sexual abuse.  Currently he is a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Councilors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is pursuing certification as a sex therapist and gender specialist.  He is proud of being both a man and a transsexual.  He is beginning at Chapman University in August 2007, looks forward to driving his car, playing video games and continuing to make a difference.

Why Karen and Melody Liked It: It showed the real life struggle with dealing with the issue of being born in the wrong body.  It was great that Nickolas could relate his personal story to share with eeveryone.  It was very well written.
