Description of Submission: "I think that it's time for a new superhero.  I mean we have many different superheros, but they all seem to protect us from physical dmage rather than emotional damage.  I thought that was a little bit strange, so I came up with "Tolerant Woman".  Tolerant Woman fights to protect the rights of all couples, gay or straight.  She is tolerant to everything except for discrimination.  She is also studying to be a certified minister, so she can one day perform wedding ceremonies to those that are denied the right to marry.  She is not gay, but has been qoted to say that she'll try anything once.

All of the clothes have been designed and made by me.  The only things I didn't make were the shoes, which came with her, and I thought were perfect.

The "T" on her chest stands for Tolerant and the little red ribbon is to show her support in the fight against HIV.  Her belt has the symbols of lesbian, homosexual and straight couples, which signifies her two yellow lines in the shape of an equal sign (=) that mean equality for all.  On her headband she has a red triangle, which is known as a symbol of struggle, rememberance and pride.  Her cape is in the colors of the rainbow, for apparent reasons.

I've had a lot of fun making and designing the clothes and I hope you'll enjoy it!  Thank you." - Tamar

Biography: Tamar will be attending Florida State University as a freshman.  She is thinking of marjoring in pre-med   She loves to travel to see different countries and cultures.

Why Karen and Melody Liked It: We really liked "Tolerant Woman" because it showed a lot of creativity.  It was great to see all the details of the various gay symbols, such as the equality symbol, put on the doll's costume.  A lot of work went into the design of the doll.   As well, it wasn't just another doll in rainbow color.  This doll also had a story behind it.  She was "Tolerant Woman" and she fought for the rights of gay couples.   We loved it the first time we saw it!
