“The Beauty of Innocence”

By Keith Anderson

Desciption of Submission: “I wrote to my daughter when she realized that she was in love with her best friend.” - Keith

I see you look into her eyes.

I see your smile.

I hear the unasked questions on your lips.

I hear the tremors.

I see you reach out and take her hand.

I see the trembling.

I watch the gentle way you kiss.

I see the love.

You say you want her.

You’re afraid.

You say not to wait.

You’re brave.

You say to teach you.

You’re willing.

You say you love her.

You’re hers.

The sparkle, the shine, the smile.

The love.

The touch, the look, the kiss.

The love.

The fear, the risk, the tears.

The love.

The thought, the act, the gift.

The love.
