By Anonymous

Desciption of Submission: “A poem for spanky – accounts for the first night, the fears, the uncertainty, and that first kiss.” - Anonymous

Why Karen and Melody Liked It: We liked the poem as it was a good first kiss poem that could be for any relationship.

I’ve been waiting for you

All my life

Where were you

I counted the stars

Wishing for my dreams to come true

Hoping and waiting

To meet someone like you

There you were

And under the circumstances

I didn’t think we had any chances

In my darkest days

You saw me the most vulnerable

I didn’t think I was curable

From the shit I felt inside

From the wounds I could no longer hide

Then night came

And you were there

To hold my hand

To show me you cared

You gazed at the stars

While I was gazing at you

Your eyes adoringly staring

To the stars upon which

I wished for you

Words could not explain

But I felt you felt the same

My silence were thoughts of loving you

And yearned for you to feel it too

In the coldness surrounding me

I warmed up to you

And in my fear of sweet bliss

You touched my hand

With all your innocence

With breath so fast

I wished for more of this

My stomach kept tumbling

While my heart kept falling

I wanted just one kiss

The fear was my dread

You would find out my secret

Of yearning for you

But there it was

A secret

I could no longer keep it

My lips touched yours

A soft kiss

unexpected
