You never really
know when your one true love will come along You never really
know when that perfect person will fit that perfect song You never really
know when time will stand still long enough… To catch that rainbow You reach to the
sky for answers You talk to a
cloud for hope You breathe in
the air for a refresher You close your
eyes for your heart to cope Coping with the
feeling of never finding that one special person Coping with the
reality of never being happy Coping with the
vision of being alone and your heart will never grow And then, just
then… the rain clears and you have a chance To catch that rainbow Chasing rainbows
from storm to storm Chasing rainbows
for years and years Chasing rainbows
for all the wrong reasons until one day you hear: “A rainbow
represents the pride in our community, the never ending hope for peace, the
everlasting dream of acceptance” Today I see a
rainbow and the meaning is so much more Today I no
longer have to chase that rainbow For it is arched
around me and my family forever more |
