Description of Submission: "This is a solo dance that I have choreographed for myself specifically inspired by this scholarship. It is about confronting your true identity, and the struggle and acceptance taht comes along with that. For met its an expression of coming to terms with being gay. Biography: Marcos is currently a junior attending UC Santa Barbara. He is a Dance Major working towards his BFA degree. In the future, he hopes to pursue a professional dancing career in New York.
Why Karen and Melody Liked It: We liked the dance performance as it was a very unique way to express coming to terms with being gay. Near the end of the dance performance you can really see the struggles of confronting one's identity to finally stepipng out and bein free. Also showing two different angles of the same performance allowed us to really get a good view of the dance. The dance was very nicely choreographed, with a nice music played in the background. |
