Poem “I
Fell in Love with a Girl” By
Jacquelyn |
Desciption of Submission: “Poem that depicts a variety of woman who
have left impacts on me in various different ways.” –Jacquelyn
Why Karen and Melody Liked It: It was great poem showing the love
of different woman in the person's live from mother, bestfriend, teacher to
finally the partner.
I fell in love with a girl
On the very day I was born
She was the one that gave me life
And continues to keep me warm
I fell in love with a girl
During the middle of grade two
She still is my best friend
For her, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do
I fell in love with a girl
She taught my 9th grade class
She pushed me to do better
I discovered I could do any task
I fell in love with a girl
This time, in a different way
The way she made me feel about myself
I realized I was gay
I fell in a love with a girl
Who wasn’t right for me at all
But I took the risk and made the jump
I wasn’t afraid to fall
I am in love with a girl
She drives me absolutely crazy
Each day grows better and better
She is simply amazing
I still love all these women
They’ve shaped me into who I am today
Each of them holds a place in my heart
Where they will all forever stay.
