| Description of Submission: "This is my artistic expression of how I would like all LBGT couples to be in public and in their personal lives. I believe that many LGBT people struggle with their sexuality for so long, that it takes us longer to find happiness with another person. When we do find happiness with another, we often are too afraid to show this happiness in a public form as most members of the straight community are able to do so freely. I know for myself, I would not feel comfortable hodling hands with a boyfriend in the city where I currently reside. I personally would fear being bashed if I were to show affection to a same sex partner. I chose thse images from magazines, a brochure, and the internet because I felt they gave a postivie image of gay or lesbian couples. I specifically made each picture overlap or be overlapped by another showing a unity that all of us in the lGBT communtiy have or should have with one another ." - Chris |
