A word of careless advice
What displays insecurity more than masking your sexuality is wearing it as a badge.  You do not earn your sexual preferences in war as a decoration.  You need not thank God, your favorite author, or an inspired poet for "transforming" you into a new person.  Always have you been this person, always will you be this person.

What compels a person to flaunt her homsexuality may be interpreted, asn wrong so, as pride.  Instead it presents a unique shame to the situation, one in which we should try and grasp ourselves, instead of other's reactions.  And thus, mind your introductions.  It is not proper, saying, "I'm Sarah, and I am a lesbian.  How much is the bread?"

Do not waste time on developing yourself as a homesexual if you neglect developing yourself as a person.  And never rely on sexuality to make you unique, when you're otherwise lacking.  Because when you dwell in one area of your life, the others suffer.  And there is always room for improvement.
