| Whisper Winds |
| The world is a dark place Of sadness and woe. My heart is a slight flame Longing to grow. When shadows push on me, Could love begin? I find comfort in you, dear, And the night whisper winds. It was cold upon winter, Yes, cold long before. In the earliest summer Lay a locked ice-room door. But something comes over me, The ice starts to thin. Your passion that blows through The night whisper winds. On an earth full of people, Lost minds on this stone, I want but just one heart, To not be alone. Coud you be that brave one Whom my soul does cleanse? For I've felt your embrace In the night whisper winds. There is a music That sings unto me. The sweetest of refains, The God' melody. I've heard a warm voice, Your words like a hymn, Fly into my mind On the night whisper winds. The scourge of the lash, though! My flesh turns to blood. I'll not stain your bright gown With my insolent mud. I hope you can feel me, It is more than a whim. I know I felt your soul In the night whisper winds. And so my flame fades now, So long since "hello" I'm grateful for your kindling for one final glow. And hold no resentment Toward one final sin. I'll always be with you In the night whisper winds. |
